T-Scan® II
The Occlusal Analysis Solution

We have added the T-Scan II to our High Technology equipment to allow us to better analyze and adjust our patient’s bites when we detect or suspect problems! The degree of sophistication is unbelievable since we can now record in realtime the teeth contacts in 3-dimensions as you bite down and slide your teeth to the side or to the front. We can then review the data looking at each contact every 0.01 seconds of the 3 to 10 seconds recording. The T-Scan is a grid-based sensor technology and occlusal analysis system that allows for an easier, more accurate way to measure occlusal timing and force.

Making Dental Occlusion a Science

For years, dental occlusion had been largely a matter of guesswork for dentists. Articulation paper, waxes, pressure indicator paste, etc. were all dentists had to assess and balance the forces of occlusion. Most of these methods are not sensitive enough to detect simultaneous contact, and none measure both biting time and force. Tekscan met the challenge by developing the T-Scan system. T-Scan's grid-based sensor technology proved so successful that Tekscan has applied the same technology to hundreds of other applications, forming Tekscan's Medical and Industrial divisions.

In 1997, the T-Scan was further refined and vastly improved. Now, progressive dentists all over the world are reaping the benefits of the latest technological advance in computerized occlusal imaging, the T-Scan II.

Easy to Use - Easy to Interpret!

The T-Scan II plugs right into the laptops in each operatory and we can start an analysis of your bite in less than 5 minutes in any of our treatment rooms.. Vivid graphics makes seeing the balance of the perfect bite easy to determine and adjust. Data can be printed to provide valuable documentation for patient files, patient education or insurance documentation.

The T-Scan II helps reduce the risk of:

  • implant failure
  • traumatized teeth
  • unstable dentures
  • ineffective splints
  • porcelain fractures
  • Applications

The T-Scan® II is an invaluable tool for whenever you need information on occlusal contacts, including:
