Veneers or Laminates
Veneers (which are also called Laminates) are thin, semi-translucent facings or "shell" usually customized from
porcelain and bonded permanently to one's teeth. While not suitable for every patient, veneers are a cosmetic
alternative for a variety of dental conditions of the front teeth including:
- Spaces between the teeth
- Broken or chipped teeth
- Unsightly, stained or discolored teeth
- Permanently stained or discolored teeth
We can make changes to the shape, size and color of your teeth using porcelain veneers. These subtle changes can
aesthetically enhance your smile dramatically and change your overall social outlook. In most cases, only two
visits are needed create your new and improved looks, possibly bypassing orthodontic treatment.
Lumineers are a type of Porcelain Veneer which Dr Rosenberg and his staff have both training and experience
with. They are a proprietary brand of porcelain veneers made by one lab in California (Cerinate Labs).
We also provide Porcelain Veneers made with the CEREC system which we can custom stain in our office with our
Vita Vacumat 40 oven and both Vita and Ivoclar (Empress) stain systems.
A third option that we use is the traditional approach of making impressions and have the veneers made in either
our local dental lab (Harrison Dental Lab) or sending them to the DaVinci Lab in
California.
