Dentures
Dentures are removeable replacements for some or all missing teeth.
If all of the teeth are missing or hopelessly not restorable, then a Complete Denture is
needed. They are necessary when most of the remaining teeth can not be saved, or the patient does not wish or can
not go through treatment needed to restore the teeth. Many patients with complete dentures made years ago can
benefit from new dentures.
If only some of the teeth are missing or unrestortable, then a Partial Denture may be needed.
There are methods to place these dentures at the time unrestorable teeth are removed and that is called
Immediate Denture procedures.
Regardless, of the type of denture, you still have to care for the dentures and any remaining teeth, and
follow-up with regular, twice a year examinations of the oral tissues and the dentures by your dentist.
